I never was able to get usb working on opensolaris. Today I read that
running /opt/VirtualBox/vboxdrv.sh stopall/startall would repair this.
And it did! I finally have usb in my clients on a OpenSolaris host.
It seems that the IPS package does install the drivers with the wrong
permissions. Ah well. Whatever.. They are OK now and USB works in my
osol host and winxp guests.
