UPDATED INFORMATION ON MERAPI&POST EARTHQUAKE
JOGJAKARTA AND CENTRAL JAVA

A. Latest Situation in Merapi
  1. Glagaharjo, Sleman district :  
On last Sunday (6/12), at 01.00 PM, a huge amount of hot gas was erupted from Merapi. Today, the Merapi activity shows some decline. But, based on the BPPTK (Volcanoe Investigation and Development Centre), there is a bengkah or a straight line which divided the Merapi crater, formed by a qubic of volcanic materials from Merapi eruption, which can collapse at any time. The areas which considers as potential for the volcanic/ bengkah slide, are :  Kali Tengah, Bale Rante, Kemalang Sub-district, Kali Adem, Kaliurang, Torgo, and Pakem Sub-district. The BPPTK has warned the citizens to evacuate immediately until it considers as safe for them to return to their houses. Ash rain occured in the southern side of Jogja and started to spread to other areas, but the density of the ash is quite slight.   2. (Volcanoe Investigation and Development Centre) / BPPTK
At 06.00 AM, the lava falls fallen for 41 times toward to Kali Krasak with the slide distance 2 km, headed to Kali Gendol was happen 36 times with the slide distance 1 ½ km, and to Kali Sat occured for 4 times with the slide distance 2 ½ km. The hot gas was happen 6 times (visual observation, once), with the slide distance 1 ½ km to Kali Gendol. According to seismograph data, the MP Earthquake was happen once, the lava falls fallen 69 times and hot gas occured 6 times. Generally, the Merapi activity shows a decline.   1. Srumbung Village, Magelang District :
Merapi activity is decline, but still there was occurance of hot gas and pyroclastic downward to Hulu Gendol, Krasak, and Kali Boyong. The temporary shelter (TPS 1) located in 7 sites, which are : Wonolele community hall, Ketep community hall, Kapukan community hall, Krogowanan community hall, Sawangan community hall, Gondowangi  community hall and Sengi community hall. The amount of IDPs is still exactly same from the last one, which is 1600 lives. The aid received from the government were logistics.   1. Merapi Volcanoe Observer Post (PPGM) Kaliurang :
Merapi status is still in alert. Based on visual observation, Merapi is covered by fog, the lava falls fallen with the slide distance of 2 km downward to Kali Gendol, Kali Sat, Kali Krasak, and Kali Bebeng, Magelang District. Based on seismograph data, the MP earthquake was happen once, the lava falls fallen 69 times, and the hot gas occured for 6 times. A. Laporan Situasi Merapi
  1. Glagaharjo Kab Sleman :  
Hari minggu pukul 01.00 wib keluar awan panas dalam jumlah besar. Untuk hari ini kondisi Merapi mengalami penurunan, namun berdasarkan laporan Balai Penyelidikan dan Pengembangan Teknologi Kegunungapian (BPPTK) terdapat bengkah atau garis terbelah di kubah Merapi, terbentuk dari erupsi Merapi yang terdiri dari 1 juta kubik material, dapat rubuh setiap saat. Daerah yang potensial terkena longsorang bengkah :  Kali Tengah, Bale Rante Kec Kemalang, Kali Adem, Kaliurang, Torgo Kec Pakem. Sehingga peringatan dari BPPTK untuk terus mengungsi sampai kondisi dinyatakan aman. Hujan abu terjadi di sisi selatan ke arah Yogya dan mulai menyebar ke berbagai kota namun ketebalan abu mulai menipis. Bantuan yang diterima : dari Kukar dan AGP berupa sembako dan tenda.   1. Balai Penyelidikan dan Pengembangan Teknologi Kegunungapian (BPPTK)
Pukul 06.00 WIB terjadi guguran lava sebanyak 41 kali kearah Kali Krasak dengan jarak luncur 2 km, kearah Kali Gendol terjadi sebanya 36 kali dengan jarak luncur  satu setengah kilometer, kearah Kali Sat terjadi sebanyak 4 kali dengan jarak luncur dua setengah kilometer. Awan panas terjadi sebanyak enam kali (teramati secara visual satu kali) jarak luncurnya satu setengah kilometer kearah Kali gendol. Menurut data seismograph gempa mp terjadi satu kali, gempa guguran lava 69 kali, awan panas 6 kali. Namun secara keseluruhan kondisi lebih menurun dari keseluruhan.   1. Desa Srumbung, Kab Magelang :
Kondisi Merapi menurun namun tetap terjadi guguran lava pijar dan semburan awan panas yang mengarah ke Hulu Gendol, Krasak, dan Kali Boyong. dan Tempat Pengungsian Sementara (TPS 1) berada di tujuh lokasi yaitu Balai Desa Wonolele, Balai Desa Ketep, Balai Desa Kapukan, Balai Desa Krogowanan, Balai Desa Sawangan, Balai Desa Gondowangi dan Balai Desa Sengi. Jumlah pengungsi tetap sam yaitu 1600 jiwa. Bantuan yang telah diterima dari pemerintah berupa logistik.   1. Pos Pengamatan Gunung Merapi (PPGM) Kaliurang :
Kondisi Merapi masih dinyatakan awas. Berdasarkan pengamatan visual, Merapi tertutup kabut, guguran lava pijar masih tetap terjadi dengan jarak luncur 2 km ka arah Kali Gendol, Kali Sat, Kali Krasak, dan Kali Bebeng Kab Magelang. Berdasarkan data seismograph ; Gempa mp terjadi satu kali, guguran lava pijar terjai 69 kali, awan panas terjadi 6 kali. Kondisi Merapi saat ini masih dalam tahap evaluasi untuk diturunkan statusnya dan menunggu rekomendasi dari pusat serta laporan dari BPPTK. Untuk informasi lebih lanjut, hubung :
