INFORMATION UPDATED ON MERAPI&POST EARTHQUAKE
JOGJAKARTA AND CENTRAL JAVA

A. Latest Information on Merapi, Based on Scout Volunteer Report
 
1.   On Sunday, the scout volunteers, collaborated with the vulcanology team and local citizens, were monitoring Merapi from Deles field, Sidorejo village. At 06.00 PM, the Merapi activity shown a lava slide with the range time between 15 - 30 minutes, followed by various scale, which occurred until Monday morning
 (June 12th  2006), 06.00 AM. The pyroclastic was heading downward to Kali Gendol with the slide distance more less than 3 km and followed by a blazzing noise  all night long. The solfatar gas was blown by the wind, most of it headed to south east.
 
2.   Every morning, around 04.00 AM, most of the Sidorejo citizens who evacuated to Dompol Post, are returning to their houses and doing their daily activity (animal breeding ,
 cultivating and cleaning their houses).
 
3.   Based on the citizen reports, it is difficult to reach the nearest city, because the cost of the public transportation is quite high for them. They have to pay Rp. 6.000, - to go back and forward to Dompol-Sidorejo (the distance between Dompol-Sidorejo, more less than 5 km). Beside, the cost, the public transportations, also rarely to find. That is why, most of the citizen prefer to walk. 
 
4.   Scout volunteers, since Friday (June 9th 2006) until today, were signed up to help the Klaten Satlak, as a supervisor on distributing the allowance money to the IDPs. They are placed in Karangdowo Sub-district (17 villages), Gantiwarno-Wedi. Everyday, the scout volunteers (25-45 people) were mobilized based on the local government request. Beside, supervising the allowance, they also placed in Klaten to
 support the aid distribution and doing some surveillance.
 
 
B. Post Earthquake Report in Jogjakarta and Central Java
1.      Sekarbolo village, Jiwowetan Wedi Klaten :
The amount of citizens in this area are 402 households or 1420 lives. Citizens who were killed during the earthquake strike, were : 5 people, seriously injured 26 people, minor injured 57 people. This village is the last village which got the aid, because it located far from the main road. The amount of houses which damaged are 457 houses adn nearly 50 % of the houses were collapsed. Aid required : tents and blankets. Aid received from UMS (Universitas Muhamadiyah Surakarta), IDPs relatives and communities. Further information, contact :

2.      Sanggrahan, Timbulharjo Sub-district, Bantul District :
The amount of citizens in this village are 160 households or 450 lives, 19 people of the citizens were died because of the eearthquake. 95%  of the buildings in this area were destroyed, one of the building which is still standing, is being used as a Sanggrahan village Post. Aid received : instant noodle from the locals, instant noodles, rice and pocari sweat from the government which can only last for 4 days. Aid required :  baby milk, tent, masons tools, mask and glasses as a protection which used by the people to clean up the ruins. There are 30 children adn one baby in this area. 3.      Tegalurung, Glagaharjo village, Bantul District:
The amount of the citizens in this area are 265 households or 946 lives (from 8 RTs), also 68 childrens. There were 6 people died during the earthquake, 207 houses collpased, 30 houses major damaged, 22 houses minor damaged. Aid received : basic food support (sembako) from the government adn volunteers, also from the community. Aid required :  Basic food support (sembako), tents, cooking utilities, and baby milk. 4.      Gunung Kidul District :
The amount of the citizens who died nearly 836 people and 1039 people suffered from injured. 13543 houses destroyed, 4718 major damaged, 16742 houses minor damaged, 245 school buildings collapsed, 6 markets collapsed, 114 offices destroyed, 240 workship places destroyed and 49 bridges were collapsed. Aid received  tents, logistic, noodles, and rice. Aid required : logistic for barracks, such as rice and vegetables. Further information, contact :

C. Additional Information
Some “RT” leaders in Bantul, are starting to feel worry for the community protests, regarding the realization on rehabilitation fund for the earthquake victims’s houses.  According to Slamet, RT 3 Leader/Muntuk village, Dlinggo Sub-district, Bantul District, the government has announced : for those whom their houses was collapsed will get an amount of money 30 million rupiah, major damaged 20 milion rupiah, adn minor damaged 10 million rupiah. On the contrary, the parameter to decide the damages scale has not yet been disscused. Meanwhile, Bakornas has distributed 18,7 billion rupiah of its fund to help the IDPs logistic needs in Jogjakarta and Klaten. From this fund, the government gives allowance per each person, with details : 10 kg rice/month, and meals allowance Rp.3000/day or Rp 90.000/month. The IDPs also get allowances, Rp. 100.000/once,  to buy clothes and kitchen utilities.

A. Laporan Situasi Merapi, Berdasarkan Informasi dari Posko Pramuka
1. Pada hari minggu, relawan pramuka bersama dengan tim vulkanologi dan masyarakat desa Sidorejo di lapangan deles Desa Sidorejo,
 melakukan pemantauan Merapi. Sejak pukul  18.00 WIB aktivitas merapi menunjukkan luncuran lava pijar dengan jarak waktu yang tidak beraturan (per-15 - 30 menit) dengan skala beragam (besar, sedang, kecil) hingga pagi hari Senin 12 juni 2006 pukul 06.00 WIB. Guguran lava pijar mengarah ke gendol diiringi dengan suara dentuman yang menggelegar sepanjang malam hingga dini hari dengan jarak luncur sampai batas vegetasi (krg lebih 3 km). Asap solvatara terhempas angin ke atas, sebagian besar mengarah ke tenggara sehingga pagi hari sidorejo diguyur hujan abu. 
 
2.  Setiap hari setiap pukul 04.00 WIB sebagian besar pengungsi
 sidorejo yang berada di pos dompol kembali ke rumah masing-masing untuk mengerjakan aktivitas harian (merawat ternak, kebun dan bersih-bersih rumah). Mereka menaiki angkutan umum (minibus) dengan tarif setiap kali jalan 2000 rupiah. Menurut penuturan seorang ibu, setiap hari ia harus merogoh kocek 6000 rupiah hanya untuk keperluan naik-turun dari dompol-sidorejo PP. Tidak jarang, banyak penduduk di wilayah ini memilih untuk berjalan kaki(jarak dompol-sidorejo krg lbh 5 km), karena tidak memiliki biaya untuk naik angkutan atau bisa jadi tidak kebagian tempat duduk. kaki 
 
3. Relawan Pramuka Peduli sejak jum'at 9 Juni 2006 diperbantukan ke Satlak Klaten sebagai pengawas dalam pembagian uang kepada pengungsi
 gempa. Mereka ditempatkan di Kecamatan Karangdowo (17 desa); Gantiwarno; Wedi hingga hari ini Senin12 Juni 2006. Setiap harinya, para relawan Pramuka yang dimobilisirkan mencapai 25-45 orang sesuai dengan permintaan Pemda. Selain tugas tersebut, sejak mereka juga ditempatkan di Klaten untuk diperbantukan distribusibantuan dan pengawalan bantuan.
 
 
B. Laporan Paska Gempa Yogyakarta dan Jawa Tengah
1.      Desa Sekarbolo, Jiwowetan Wedi Klaten :
Jumlah warga 402 KK atau 1420 jiwa. Korban yang meninggal : 5 orang, luka parah 26 orang, luka ringan 57 orang. Desa ini mendapatkan bantuan yang terakhir karena letak desa berada di ujung Wedi ke arah utara dari jalan besar. Jumlah rumah 457 bangunan dan yang roboh mencapai 50 % dari keseluruhan. Bantuan yang dibutuhkan : tenda dan selimut. Bantuan yang diterima tenda dari UMS (Universitas Muhamadiyah Surakarta) dan keluarga dari warga sekitar. Untuk informasi lebih lanjut, hubungi :

2.      Sanggrahan, Kec Timbulharjo, Kab Bantul :
Jumlah warga 160 KK atau 450 jiwa dimana jumlah korban meninggal 9 orang. Jumlah bangunan yang rusak mencapai 95% dari keseluruhan bangunan, yang terisisa hanya lima bangunan yang tidak dapat dihuni karena rusak parah dan 1 bangunan yang rusak ringan yang dijadikan posko Desa Sanggrahan. Bantuan yang diterima : dari keluarga warga sekitar berupa mie instan, dari pemerintah berupa mi instan, beras, pocari sweat yang hanya cukup 4 hari. Bantuan yang dibutuhkan susu bayi, tenda, alat bangunan, masker dan kacamata untuk membantu pembersihan puing-puing bangunan. Jumlah balita mencapai 30 jiwa dan satu bayi yang baru lahir. Bantuan berupa uang jatah lauk pauk dan bangunan dari pemerintah belum masuk ke daerah ini. Untuk informasi lebih lanjut, hubungi :

3.      Dukuh Tegalurung, Desa Glagaharjo, Kab Bantul :
Jumlah warga 265 KK atau 946 jiwa (dari delapan RT), jumlah balita 68 jiwa. Jumlah korban meninggal 6 orang, jumlah rumah roboh 207 bangunan, rusak berat 30 bangunan, rusak ringan 22 bangunan. Bantuan yang diterima : sembako dari pemerintah dan relawan serta bantuan dari keluarga warga sekitar. Bantuan yang dibutuhkan : sembako, tenda, peralatan masak, susu balita. 4.      Kabupaten Gunung Kidul :
Jumlah warga yang meninggal dunia mencapai 836 jiwa dan 1039 jiwa mengalami luka-luka. Rumah rusak berat 13543 bangunan, rumah rusak sedang 4718 bangunan, rumah rusak ringan 16742 bangunan, sarana pendidikan 245 bangunan, sarana ekonomi (pasar) 6 bangunan, kantor 114, rumah ibadah 240 bangunan, jembatan 49. bantuan yang diterima : tenda, logistik, mie, beras. Bantuan yang dibutuhkan : logistik untuk barak-barak pengungsian berupa beras, sayuran yang sudah menipis dan belum datang lagi. Informasi lebih lanjut, hubungi :

C. Informasi Lainnya
Sejumlah Ketua RT di Bantul mulai resah karena mereka khawatir akan mendapatkan protes dari warga akibat belum jelasnya bantuan rehabilitasi rumah korban gempa. Menurut Slamet, Ketua RT 03/3 Desa Muntuk, Kecamatan Dlinggo Kabupaten Bantul, pemerintah sebelumnya telah mengumumkan bahwa rumah yang rusak total akan medapatkan bantuan Rp 30 juta, rusak berat Rp 20 juta, dan ringan Rp 10 juta. Padahal, parameter untuk menentukan kerusakan itu sama sekali belum ada. Sementara itu Bakornas telah menyalurkan dana senilai Rp 18,7 milyar untuk bantuan lauk pauk kepada warga korban gempa bumi di DIY, dan Klaten. Dari dana tersebut Pemerintah menetapkan memberikan bantuan uang biaya hidup berupa beras 10 kilogram perjiwa perbulan serta uang lauk pauk Rp.3000 per jiwa per hari atau Rp 90.000 per bulan. Selain itu ada juga bantuan untuk pembelian pakaian dan peralatan dapur masing-masing Rp. 100.000 yang diberikan satu kali.
