A. Latest Information on Merapi, Based From Various Sources
1.   Glagaharjo Post :
The lava flows, is still flowing downward to Kidul and Kali Gendol,  but it can not be seen visual. Hot gas occured in a lower scale. The lava slide is still sliding since 11.45 AM until now. The IDPs in Glagaharjo Post (most IDPs are origin come from Glagaharjo village, Umbulharjo, and Wonokerto). Aid received from Budha Jojo, was rice.  Based on seismograph, the Merapi condition today is still stabil. Further information, contact :

2.   Jogjakarta :
The Merapi activity is starting decline, but the intensity is stabil, the lava flows and hot gas is still occured. Yesteraday night (6/12), a slight ash rain was happen. The 97’s dome has slided last Sunday and only left it less, and it appears that the 2006’s dome will also slide ( the dome is in the shape of U letter and toward to Kali Gendol and Kali Boyong). Potential area of slide, are : East Cangkringan Timur ((Kali Adem) and Kinerejo Atas. A mid preassure of White solfatar fume with 800 – 900 metres height occured, hot gas with the slide distance up to 2,5-3 km. Techtonic quake was happen yesterday afternoon(6/12) in Bantul at 01.00 PM. The lava slide occurs in Wonokerto and Kaliurang areas,  fit to its direction, as long as the eruption does not high. The eruption level is based on the techtonic impact and influences the Merapi (probably there will be a major volcanic quake). Further information, contact :

3.   Satlak Pakem :
Based on visual report at 00.00- 06.00 AM, the cloud is bright, the solfatar fume was slightly thin with the pressure up to 1200m. Hot gas was happen once toward to Kaliurang and hulu Kali Gendol with the slide distance approximately 1,5 km. The lava spark occured 35 times to the Kali Gendol upstream, with the distance 1km, toward to Kali Krasak was happen 24 times with the slide distance 3 km. The MP techtonic was happen 11 times, the volcanic quake 26 times, hot gas occured 3 times, and no techtonic earthquake occurs. Further information, contact :

4.   Tanjung Post,  Magelang District :
The amount of IDPs in this area, are 291 lives. Most of the IDPs origin come from Ngagormulyo. The Merapi status is still on alert, and the IDPs are fright to return to their houses. Aid needed : white meat (chicken), soap bar, and detergent. Further information, contact :

5.   Kappala Report :
The Merapi activity is decline, but the lava flows flown to Cangkringan and Sleman. The hot gas occured toward to Gendol river. The Merapi status is still on alert. The ash rain which was happen in South yesterday, is decline. Further information, contact :

1.   Posko Glagaharjo :
Luncuran lava kearah Kidul dan Kali Gendol terus terjadi,  namun secara visual tidak dapat terlihat. Awan panas masih muncul dengan skala lebih kecil. Luncuran ini terjadi sejak pukul 11.45 hingga saat ini. Para pengsungi saat ini masih ada di Posko Glagaharjo (berasal dari desa Glagaharjo, umbulharjo, Wonokerto). Bantuan diterima dari Budha Jojo berupa beras.  Berdasarkan data dari seismograph kondisi untuk hari ini masih stabil. Untuk informasi lebih lanjut, hubungi :

2.   Jogjakarta :
Kondisi aktivitas Merapi mulai menurun, tetapi intensitas tetap artinya tetap terjadi luncuran lava dan awan panas. Kemarin malam (12/6) terjadi hujan abu tipis. Kubah 97 telah longsor pada minggu kemarin dan hanya menyisakan sedikit, saat ini kubah 2006 ditakutkan akan ikut longsor (kubah ini terbentuk pada saat lava panas) bentukannya saat ini seperti hurup U dan mengarah ke kali Gendol dan Kali boyong. Daerah yang potensial terkena longsoran yaitu Cangkringan Timur (Kali Adem) dan Kinerejo Atas. Asap solfatra putih dengan ketinggian 800 – 900 meter dengan tekanan tengah. Awan panas jarak luncurnya 2,5 km sampai dengan 3 km. Gempa tektonik terjadi kemarin (12/6) siang di Bantul pukul 13.00 wib.  Untuk luncuran lava daerah Wonokerto dan Kaliurang sudah sesuai dengan aliran yang dituju selama erupsi tidak tinggi. Tingginya erupsi dipengaruhi gempa tektonik dan ini mempengaruhi kondisi Merapi (kemungkinan adanya gempa vulkanik dengan kekuatan lebih besar). Untuk informasi lebih lanjut, hubungi :

3.   Satlak Pakem :
Laporan dari pukul 00.00 sampai dengan 06.00 berdasarkan pandangan visual : kondisi cuaca cerah, asap solfatara putih tipis dengan tekanan 1200 meter. Awan panas terjadi satu kali menuju Kaliurang dan hulu Kali Gendol dengan jarak luncur 1,5 km. Guguran lava pijar terjadi 36 kali ke hulu Kali Gendol jarak luncurnya 1,0 km, menuju ke Kali Krasak 24 kali dengan jarak luncur 3,0 km. Terjadi gempa mp 11 kali, gempa guguran 26 kali, awan panas 3 kali, dan tidak terjadi gempa tektonik. Untuk informasi lebih lanjut, hubungi :

4.   Posko Tanjung Kabupaten Magelang :
Jumlah pengungsi Merapi di wilayah ini berjumlah 291 jiwa yang berasal dari daerah Ngagormulyo. Situasi Merapi masih dinyatakan awas sehingga pengungsi tidak berani pulang. Bantuan yang dibutuhkan : lauk pauk seperti ayam segar, sabun mandi, sabun cuci. Untuk informasi lebih lanjut, hubungi :

5.   Laporan dari Kappala :
Aktivitas Merapi mengalami penurunan namun tetap terjadi luncuran lava ke arah Cangkringan dan Sleman. Luncuran awan panas mengarah ke Sungai Gendol. Status Merapi masih dinyatakan awas. Hujan abu yang kmarein terjadi di daerah Selatan mulai berkurang. Untuk informasi lebih lanjut, hubungi :
