Yes.. quite a dream come true, but I'm happy with just the vlan info
finally being there, I already know what vlans are on my trunk/tagged ports.
Would be interesting to see this done... I've written the code to do it on
my own system, which was a royal pain in Cisco land.. I think it even
differs depending on model of switch or router. Let alone dealing with
other vendors.
Yet another thing that would be automatically implemented on everyone's
intermapper if custom probes could update labels on things that you want
the ports shown on as well.. and/or the ability to customize the status
window of the ports... Then I'd be happy to release all sorts of work that
I've done. At the moment, theres really no way to tie the two
together. Sure, helper apps might be a messy but working way to do it, but
it won't show up cleanly in a status window.
Someday, the time will come when we can customize the network labels via a
probe or outside script.. oh joy...
