Indeed. But the difference is big technically, which the end user does care about. As of today, there are several SIP directories that are jockeying for market share, some offering the service for free. For these guys, offering an automatic NAT traversal mechanism integrated with the directory is a big plus, as there is a large potential customer base that uses NAT.
