KCFR, Colorado Public Radio's (CPR) news-and-information channel, said it will switch back to the FM dial on July 9.
KCFR, heard at 1340 AM since 2001, will move to 90.1 FM, the frequency now used by CPR's classical-music station, KVOD. KVOD will move to 88.1 FM, which previously broadcast Christian music under the brand K-LOVE. CPR plans to put its 1340 AM frequency up for sale. For the time being, KCFR will be simulcast on 1340 as well as 90.1 FM.
