Hi Kaz,
Correct on the QTH and antenna. I do have a possible spot for another
DKAZ to the west, but the feedline would probably be around 200 feet or
maybe a little more. It would also be right in a tree line, so I'd
probably suspend the tops from trees instead of using poles. Hmmm. I'll
have to go take a closer look.
Speaking of feedlines, how do you all run your feedlines from the
antenna to the house / shack? I'm assuming most of you either bury the
cable (either in conduit or with direct-bury cable) or you run it back
through trees off of the ground. Does anyone just leave the feedline lie
on top of the ground, and then you move it every time you mow? Or maybe
you don't mow and just let goats eat the grass. I've considered that.
Except they'd probably eat the coax too.

Mark, you're in Goshen IN if I recall and with a new DKAZ south. How
much
antenna room do you have towards the west? 73 KAZ

I heard KNX (presumed) on 1070 on my car radio this morning while
driving
to work. It wasn't for long, but long enough to hear a time check
between
news items: "It's now 4:41..." (my local time was 7:41, just a few
minutes
before sunrise). I take that to be another indication of good
conditions to
the West. Not sure I have any antennas at home that favor western
stations
though.

Thx for the tip Rob. New here around 0700 CDT this morning was "AM

I've had none!!!
Hopefully the good Western Conditions will hang around for a while…..
