Position: Oracle DBA Location: Houston, TX
Duration: 6+ Months Rate: $45-49/Hr Best In-Person interview is required after telephonic!! Must be a GC/Citizen/EAD only!! No H1Bs!! Description: This position will be responsible for supporting 24x7 production and development databases, delivering high availability, guaranteed backup and recovery, configuration management, monitoring and tuning of the instance and integrating RAC within the existing distributed computing platform. Skills Required: *Strong PL/SQL experience developing procedures, functions, and triggers. *Strong Unix/Linux and shell script. *Strong and proven experience in data modeling, data migration, data replication and data synchronization. *Translate business requirements into normalize logical entity models as well as physical database designs using ErWin or other tool. *Lead efforts to standardize, improve, and implement enterprise data processes, as well as identify resolutions to exceptions that occur as data is migrated into databases. *Strong experience in providing development support. Adherence to software development life cycle, company standards and procedures, maintain change control documents and follow problems through to resolution. Work with application development team to prepare release control and production code drop. Skills Required: *The position is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of development database systems and constructs conceptual, logical, and physical data models. *Various database administration tasks in our development, test and production environments *Install, upgrade, patch on Oracle 10g and 11g RAC on all platforms. *Administrate Oracle 10g or 11g RAC, Oracle Data Guard implemented on Linux. *Administrate Backup and Recovery using RMAN. *Administrate and monitor Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control. *Troubleshoot and monitor the problems on database and server, software, performance, connection and backup etc. *Required to work as a team and support databases as a backup to DBA. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "IT provider" group.
