JOB SPECIFICATIONS: (Knowledge, skills and abilities normally required for
competent performance in the job.) Minimum of 7-10 years experience in
Systems & Programming. Prior experience in design of complex systems. Prior
experience as project leader on programming development project team. Four
years college or equivalent experience. Experience in developing and
implementing database and on-line and distributive processing applications.
Knowledge of Siebel technology including Tools, EIM, Business Services and
Data Base architecture. Good verbal and written communications skills. Sound
understanding of standard business processes. Demonstrated ability to work
in a team & matrix environment

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Perform complex system design and
program development activities required to complete projects as approved by
management. Serve as primary liaison with key users in specific functional
areas of the business. Provide project and technical guidance to other
members of IS or consultants assigned to work on a specific project or
functional area. Complete projects as assigned by Applications Manager.
Develop systems documentation in accordance with current IS Standards for
new applications and update older system documentation as system updates are
performed. Develops system controls and ensures that backup and security are
in place for systems. Assists Operations with the development of a disaster
recovery plan and supports Operations in the execution of the plan as
needed. Works with Operations to ensure that systems are transferred to a
production status once the new system has been implemented or an older
system has been upgraded

Decision Making Capabilities (List the three most important decisions made
while performing the job). Evaluates alternative solutions and selects the
appropriate solution that meets the business requirements of a project while
providing the greatest benefit to Binney & Smith. Decides when to escalate
project and operational issues to Applications Manger in a timely manner and
provides alternatives to resolve the issue. Decides on the level of system
controls appropriate for an application to ensure the integrity of the
system and its data.

Job Description: Provides support for the implementation of Siebel-based
systems in various functional areas. The Seibel system has been modifyed by
Deloitte and is not just vanilla Seibel, The individual(s) focuses primarily
on either the front-end (on-line) portion of Siebel-based systems or the
development and support of the integration of the Siebel system from/to
other Legacy applications. Leads projects that support a functional area and
assists on other projects as defined by the Applications Manager. Serves as
a senior technical advisor to other members of the organization on projects
as needed. Possess an in-depth knowledge of a functional area(s) and a sound
understanding of business practices. Develops and executes detailed project
plans.
