Requirements and Qualifications: The ideal candidate has considerable experience in performance optimization of JVM-based, multi-tier systems of integrated Java applications on the Websphere / Sun Solaris platform, preferably with Oracle databases. Skills and experience for the position include the following: Motivated individual able to work independently, and with existing teams and vendors 5+ years experience in Websphere Application Server administration and performance tuning 5+ years experience administering, inspecting, monitoring and tuning JVM 1.6 on Linux/Unix (Sun Solaris preferred) platforms. Required Technologies: 5+ years experience in Websphere Application Server Administration and Performance Tuning 5+ years experience administering, inspecting, monitoring and tuning JVM 1.6 on Sun Solaris platforms Preferred Technologies (not required): WebSphere MQ IBS Data Power Monitoring Tools/Testing Tools Preferred (not required): Exp in UNIX resource monitoring tools like SAR, JVM tools like JConsole, JSTAT, etc. Experience with BMC Patrol, Compuware Vantage Suite, IBM Rational Performance Tester, open source java monitoring tools.
