Position: ETL/Informatica Lead Developer Location: Detroit, MI Duration: 12 Months Description: The BI Tech Lead/ Developer has the overall responsibility for assessing requirements and defining the strategy, technical architecture, implementation plan and delivery of data warehouse projects. The BI Tech Lead must have prior experience leading successful data warehousing implementations as well as broad background and experience with IT application development. This individual is responsible for establishing the long term strategy and technical architecture as well as the short term scope for a multi-phased data warehouse effort. This person must have strong professional consulting skills and the ability to communicate well at all levels of the organization. Requirements: Deliver a project that directly supports the key business drivers Define the overall BI architecture (e.g., ETL process, ODS, EDW, Data Marts) Provide hands on technical leadership in developer of Informatica 8.6.1 Client is primary responsibility. Lead technical requirements, technical and data architectures for the data warehouse projects Provide knowledge guidance to Business Analysts and ETL Developers Lead the design and develop the ETL process, including data quality and testing Ensure compliance of Metadata standards for the Datawarehouse Tech Lead will need to provide subject matter expertise in leading: o Technical requirements definition o Source system analysis o Data Modeling of Target State in Data Warehouse o Source to Target Mapping documentation o Subject Matter Knowledge guidance in source system analysis and Informatica ETL build Status reporting and Issue Resolution are critical functions of the tech lead role Required skills and experience: 2 years experience as ETL tech lead for teams using Informatica and Oracle 10g to develop data warehousing projects 6-8 years experience working in enterprise data warehousing efforts using Industry Standard data movement tools such as Informatica and DataStage Excellent understanding of data warehousing methodologies. Candidate should be able to clearly communicate fundamental concepts during the interview and demonstrate previous experience in all aspects. Previous project experience with at least 3 large, preferable multi-years, data warehousing project MUST HAVE strong SQL skills Experience in Oracle database programming using Partitioning, Materialized View and OLAP Experience in tuning Oracle queries/processes and performance management tools Tech lead ideally should have strong data modeling skills (normalized and multidimensional). Preferably hands on experience using Erwin.
