Tentu bisa... dialup aja bisa masa adsl nggak bisa :P Kalau adsl nya di share (dalam LAN) forward request port 1433 (default sql server) ke ip local server ms sql nya dari modem adsl anda.
Sebenarnya cukup riskan kalo akses database langsung walaupun di sql server ada ada fasilitas granted ip untuk alasan keamanan. Akan lebih baik (relatif sih) anda menggunakan media ketiga. misal SOAP lewat https / ssl (biasa create lewat store procedured otomatis kok). Itung2 SOAP jadi firewall server database anda.
