Hi all I'm fairly new to this list, so forgive me if I am not up to speed on all the different subprojects yet. The discussions regarding the different datamodel/data access projects cought my attention. We have developed a Swing-based application for internal use that generates Java-code in the form of data-access classes. We use a different approach than the projects discussed here. We access an allready existing database and connect to it to extract the tables/fields through the use of MetaData. The application gives you the possibility to change the names and/or datatypes of the fields before generating the code. I wonder if this is something that could be of interest to anyone.
