We've just purchased an Integraph system with an Intense3D Wildcat 3510
graphics card. We have 16Mb of texture memory, and 16Mb frame buffer.
The OS is WinNT, and OpenGL is installed.
I've installed Java2 and Java3D(OpenGL), and am running an application that
works on my old computer.
I've got a QuadArray and a couple of Line arrays on the canvas. The
QuadArray has per-vertex colors, and shaded material with highlights (it has
a nice glossy appearance).
Now, as I rotate the scene, my lines start acting funny, endpoints suddenly
shifting to random locations. If I rotate a little more they go back to
where they belong, rotate a little more they shift again etc.....
Also the shading shifts and changes as I move around, some times the
appearance is glossy on only part of the QuadArray, other times the whole
surface seems shadowed, other times it seems to almost glow.
Now bear in mind these things aren't happening on my old machine, so it's
not light placement or anything like that.
I have tried increasing the bounding sphere's radius, but that doesn't help
either.
Has anyone experienced similar problems?
(The graphics look great in other software programs running on the machine)
