All you needed to do is (if you haven't done it already) create a keyboard shortcut for JAWS7.10; unload JAWS7.0; then bring up 7.10 with that shortcut. Then, as using JAWS7.10 check the "run JAWS first" option, which now takes over from 7.0. (This usually happens automatically, i.e., the new installation will run at start-up unless you tell it not to.) It sometimes happens that lower versions of JAWS may or do work better with some programs, which is why folk keep them around for a while until they're sure they'll no longer be needing them.
