Marc,
That's great. Pls tell us how and who is the
coordinator for the book. Is it Tobias?

JBoss book to be published by SAMS
ok guys,
some great
news.
I just heard from Mike Stevens our publisher at SAMS publishing
that the "JBoss" book project has been approved.
What that means is
that we will be writing the documentation book for a real paperback format
slapping the new version of JBoss at the back and off you go, this is our
distribution on every borders bookshelf of the world :)
You guys want a
version of JBoss you know you can work with and for which you have up to
date documentation? this is it, buy the book online (through www.jboss.org and we get a larger cut
:).
What it means for the jboss-doco list is that now we are going to
get really serious about the quality and correctness of the documentation
since SAMS is going to massively distribute it.
More profoundly I
believe this is a truly important step, it will put an end to the "bouah
doco is so-so" and will really mark a new era for JBoss. One where
JBoss crosses the threshold of corporate acceptance like only Linux and
Apache guys did before us. This is it, we are the third wave of
Open Source Technology. What do you mean... a tier one application
server with professional documentation for the price of a book?
Did
you hear that "Booooooooooooom"???? did you hear it? If you are at
BEA you are already feeling that ground move... that bomb went off
somewhere near Indianapolis IN.
Seriously now it means that all
those of you that want to make your moms real proud, just get on that wave
and help us write the documentation you will get your name in a real
book.

PS: Juha and I are already writing a
book for SAMS: JMX and J2EE coming
soon
