Hi, we have an existing application which is managed using JMX. We are moving it to a JBoss environment, and would like to continue to manage it via JMX. Mostly it looks like an ideal fit because of the architecture of JBoss. Because we manage remote servers I have two questions:
1. We are currently using JDMK, with a central daemon monitoring n number of remote servers. Could we use JBossMX instead of JDMK, both in the same instance of JBoss and also remotely? I know that there is a RmiAdaptor - can this be used in a different JVM? Can I look up and use the JNDI reference remotely? 2. Is there a heartbeat mechanism in JBossMX? thanks, Steve. ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by: OSDN - Tired of that same old cell phone?
