Most simlest ansuer is set TestApi work same as SubCode. Use TestApi, and give up to call SubCode.
If, If you have to call SubCode, Your way is full of trials and tribulations.
If I am you, I'll set TestApi same as SubCode.
You must keep TestApi callable via api.
And get diff,
{home}/.jenkins/jobs/TestApi/config.xml
to{home}/.jenkins/jobs/SubCode/config.xml
The diff is probrem.
