Just wanted to add a question one of my peers came up with. This is still a big problem for us, we have massive failure after any master restart(we think) we are starting to wonder if it is completely related to master restarts or something else. A manula restart of the slave always seems to fix the issue, but this is not practical. Please let us know if there is anything else we can try to help trouble shoot. ~Thanks!

It appears they are replacing the default java (remote) classloader with their own:
