*Rajiv | Ranchi* Belying the claims of the State Government that Jharkhand is not under the grip of the ultra-left outfits and some of the districts are free from their violent activities, the intelligence sources have come out with appaling revelation that the entire State has currently fallen prey to six dreaded terrorist groups. According to the sources, activities of these groups are increasing alarmingly throughout the length and breadth of the State. The sources do admit that both the Central and State security forces are facing hard time in curbing the grave situation. The intelligence sources have identified that while Communist Party of India (Maoist) is the most potent and commanding outfit in the State, Jharkhand Liberation Tiger (JLT), Tritiya Sammelan Prastuti Committee (TSPC), Sangharsh Jan Mukti Morcha (SJMM), Sashastra People's Morcha and Jharkhand Prastuti Committee (JPC) too enjoy considerable clout in major parts of the State. The intelligence records refer to the fact that the breadth of CPI (Maoists)'s activities is spreading far and wide at an accelerated pace. Their presence is reported in 18 districts of the State such as Chatra, Garhwa, Daltonganj, Latehar, Ranchi, Simdega, Bokaro, Gumla, Chaibasa, Jamshedpur, Hazaribagh, Kodarma, Giridih, Jamtara, Dumka, Pakur, Littipara, Lohardaga and Khunti. The Tritiya Sammelan Prastuti Committee's (TSPC) presence is seen in Chatra, Daltonganj, Lohardaga, Ranchi and Hazaribagh. The Sangharsh JanMukti Morcha (SJMM) has spread its tentacles in Daltonganj, Latehar, Lohardaga and Chatra. Jharkhand Liberation Tigers (JLT) is more active in Chatra, Daltokganj,Latehar, Khunti,Simdega and Hazaribagh. The sources added that while JPC is found indulging in violence particularly in Daltonganj, Latehar, Chatra, Hazaribagh and Ranchi. Sashastra People's Morcha is, however, active only in Chatra. To combat the activities of these outfits the police has divided the entire State into seven Zones: Central Zone of Bihar Regional Committee (CBRZ), KOel Sankh Zone (KSZ), North Chotanagpur Zone (NCZ), Santhalpargna Zone(SPZ), West Singhbhum Mayurbhanj Zone WMZ, West Midnao-pur Bankura Purulia Zone (WSZ ).CPI (Maoists) is spreading its tentacles in rural and dense forest areas of the State.
