The sources added that while JPC is found indulging in violence particularly in Daltonganj, Latehar, Chatra, Hazaribagh and Ranchi. Sashastra People's Morcha is, however, active only in Chatra. To combat the activities of these outfits the police has divided the entire State into seven Zones: Central Zone of Bihar Regional Committee (CBRZ), KOel Sankh Zone (KSZ), North Chotanagpur Zone (NCZ), Santhalpargna Zone(SPZ), West Singhbhum Mayurbhanj Zone WMZ, West Midnao-pur Bankura Purulia Zone (WSZ ).CPI (Maoists) is spreading its tentacles in rural and dense forest areas of the State.
