Following are the details of the Opportunity.
Job Classification : *Java Developer.*
Job Location : *IL*
Duration : *6 months.*
The persons filling this *PAR *will be part of a program level team that
gives support, industry best
practice information, standards, technical guidance and process guidance to
more than 200 software developers
on 9 project teams. This person is intended to augment the team with
additional *DB2 on z/OS* skills, experience
with writing applications against large (over 10 million rows) databases,
industry best practice around SQL and
data access design in a multi-tiered environment, and experience with
J2EE/object oriented development
against databases. The following skills or experiences are needed to
fulfill the job duties of this *PAR.*

Here are the technial skills provided.
This is a Java developer position, not a MF programmer.
They mention the DB2 because the SQL stored procedeures will be written for
DB2, not Oracle.
There is a difference between the two and they need someone with *DB2.*
*1. DB2 on z/OS* Deep Knowledge of the following tools and/or software is
Required:
*SQL for DB2 on z/OS SQL/PL* stored procedure development Knowledge in
the following is a plus:
Rational Software Architect - *RSA 6 and/or RSA 7 (RSA 7 preferred)*
Data Studio *Object-Relational Mapping (ORM)* tool experience, such as
pureQuery.
Hibernate would be an alternative
*2.* J2EE/Object Oriented Development Skills (at least 1 years experience)
The person should have experience developing/incorporating data access
components using the following
languages: - *Java - J2EE *

*3.* Experience leading and writing guidance for "large" software
development projects (100 or more developers),
especially focused on writing high-performing services.
*4.* Strong leadership and communication skills
*5.* Previous State Farm and / or Enterprise Claim System (ECS) experience
would be nice to have but is not
required at this time.
