In order to use JRun 3.x with JRE 1.4 you need to run all of the tools within the JRun
server. So, to deploy a bean you need to do it within the EJB deployment wizard in
the JMC.

A review of what is needed to fully support JRun 3.1 with 1.4 JVM's has been
completed, largely based on the modifications that were made in JRun 4.0 to run in
this environment. An Engineering schedule is being developed that will allow JRun 3.1
to be fully supported on 1.4 jvm's later on this spring.

When attempting to deploy an EJB jar from the command line under Sun's JDK
1.4, I get the following message:

"Main method not public."

Using:
JRun 3.1
Version 3.1.16777

Anyone have any feedback to offer on running JRun 3.x with Java 1.4 (out of
beta - released in February, I think)?

Thanks,
