It is there but hidden, why and how do I get it into the active routing
table?

You already got a response on a simpler way to achieve this, but in case you actually need to set up a more complex generate-route profile..

Use 'detail' or 'extensive' in show route command; that'll likely give hints on why the route is inactive. In some cases like this the reason could be e.g. a better preference default route already present in the routing table.
