We are open to any gear, Juniper or otherwise (we have a mixed Cisco and Juniper environment now).

We have a RE-400 w/768M RAM in all of our existing M7i's and have never had an issue with taking full routes.

Should we be worried?

Agree on M7i/M10i getting a bit long in the tooth. We
have many of them in production, and they are very solid
boxes. But especially the RE-400 is clearly showing its
 age.

If the OP is in a hurry and isn't alternative-averse, you could take a look at Cisco's ASR1002. It fits this bill nicely (except that it doesn't run JUNOS, hehe).

Cheers,

Mark.
