You are correct in that there are no certified 10GEBase-T SFP for the EX4550, 
or any other Juniper product (that I am aware of), at this time.

So if you go this route, you are on your own.  I do know of some who have used 
10GEBase-T optics on other Juniper products, like EX4600/QFX51xx, and got them 
to work, but not aware of anything involving older EX4550/EX4500.

It is expect that EOL/EOS for legacy EX products will be announced shortly, I 
very much doubt that any 10GEBase-T Optic will ever get official certification 
on these older products.
