--- Comment #7 from Elliott Tallis <[email protected]> --- Just wanted to add to this (after multiple years), but Flameshot offers a pseudo-pixelation method (https://github.com/jrpie/flameshot/blob/14a136777cd82ab70f42c13b4bc9418c756d91d2/src/tools/pixelate/pixelatetool.cpp#L49-L83 - original PR: https://github.com/flameshot-org/flameshot/pull/3765) that utilises the surrounding pixels to determine the colour palette for the pixels inside the selected area, with all the image data inside being discarded.
