Internally, to handle subtitles, Kdenlive creates a .srt file with the same
name as the project file.
Some Video players like VLC automatically reuse this subtitle file when playing
the rendered video.
Can you check if this is the case ? Try renaming the rendered video or moving
it to another folder and play it again.
