Bug ID: 496807 Summary: allow to select xy-plot types on creation Classification: Applications Product: LabPlot2 Version: 2.11.1 Platform: Other OS: Other Status: REPORTED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: frontend Assignee: alexander.se...@web.de Reporter: uwesto...@web.de Target Milestone: --- Created attachment 176203 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=176203&action=edit screenshot from MagicPlot My daily task is to deal with sensor data. Thus all my data have errors. As it is, plotting them in LabPlot is inconvenient because one cannot set the plot type on creation. As it is, I have to: - select columns on the spreadsheet, then create a plot - as I always get a line plot but have discrete data, I have now to change the plot type to marker. Other programs like MagicPlot offer to select the 3 basic plot types (marker, line, line+marker) on design, see the attached screenshot. I think the fix is: LabPlot already offers to select different bar plot types and it can offer to select different xy-curve types. "xy-plot" should be renamed to "xy-plot" to make this clear. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
