For me as newcomer the mentioned wiki page and https://techbase.kde.org/Policies/Commit_Policy#Special_keywords_in_GIT_and_SVN_log_messages were valuable resources to get familiar with the KDE dev workflow. So it cannot be that bad. ;-)
