I am just back from a Lace Day, and David Collyer came (we haven't seen him for Ages), and brought both his Tonder lace edging and Miss Channer Mat! The Mat has been beautifully framed and looks Stunning! Whoever did the framing did a really good job, and it really compliments the beautiful lace. If anything has the 'Wow!' factor - that piece is it!!!
He also had the tonder edge there - it is Large !! Photos do not show the size, - and I refered to his handkerchief (we were in the Suppliers room at the time, ) and he laughed and said it was a bit big for a handkie! When I went into the other room and saw it - Yes, Much too big for a handkie!!!!!! But --Wow!!. Yes, it has the Wow Factor too!! He had 2 other pieces to show too, and they were also beautifully made - another black piece, and a grey piece with pink Gimp which was So pretty. It is Great to see his lace "for real" not just a photo. We saw his car outside, too - with his LACEXY number plates on it!!!!!!!! :) The talk was a demo on making glass beads, which was interesting, and of course, we spent time (and money) with the Suppliers buying threads, etc - that we don't really need, I am sure, - but have to have -- just in case.....!! :) Well,--- I am reading through the new Rosemary Shepherd book, and some of the patterns I just Have to make, so will need the thread.....!!! :)) Regards from Liz in Melbourne, Oz. lizl...@bigpond.com -- I am using the free version of SPAMfighter.
