For some, the problem might be solved by: Legacy Home tab -> Options button -> Options item on the popup menu -> Internet Options tab. Make sure the "Allow Legacy to connect ..." choice is selected.
For mine, I had this option selected, but still did not get automatic notification. I had to click on Updates before it found that there was an update, but I might have had Legacy already running from the previous day. -----Original Message----- From: Sherry/Support [mailto:she...@legacyfamilytree.com] Sent: Friday, January 17, 2014 5:21 PM To: LegacyUserGroup@LegacyUsers.com Subject: Re: Update Notifications, formerly [LegacyUG] Updating to 381 Uninstalling/Reinstalling Mike, There is an option for a reminder to pop-up every 30 days to check for updates. It's still available in v8. Go to Options > Customize 12.5 - on the Prompts/Reminders tab.
