Hello! Code the Change is having a Code Jam on Saturday, November 3, from 12 pm to 8 pm, in Studio 1 at the Stanford d.school. At Code the Change, our goal is to bring Computer Science students together with nonprofits to create positive social change. This Code Jam is a good opportunity to work on a project with a nonprofit and create real world impact! Projects span from web programming, to app development, to providing general suggestions and strategies for implementation of solutions. People of all skill levels are welcome, though having taken at least CS 106B would be good. Come on down! You'll get to tackle some cool new challenges, nonprofits love you, and there will be food :) 30-Second Registration: http://codethechange.org/code/register Details: http://codethechange.org/ Past Projects: http://codethechange.org/projects Projects for this Code Jam will be posted closer to the date. Please forward widely! Let me know if you have any questions, and I look forward to seeing you there! Also, if you have an organization or a project that you want other folks to work on at a Code Jam or in the long term, check out our organization page! Warmly, Joel Kek |
