Bug ID: 171761
Summary: No option to align a data series in a chart to the
secondary "X"-Axis in XY (Scatter) Charts
Product: LibreOffice
Version: 24.2.7.2 release
Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: medium
Component: Calc
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Description:
When you have two variables in the X-Axis (2 data series) against a shared
Y-Axis, and the scale for both of them are different,so you need to create a
secondary X-Axis and you want to align the one of the data series to secondary
"X-Axis", but there is no option to do that in Format Data Series menu. In
Excel, you can do this by clicking on the (+) icon of the chart and in “Axes”
option you can verify whether you have taken secondary horizontal axis or not.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a table with 1 Y column and 2 X columns.
2. Insert a XY (Scatter) chart.
3. Right click the chart -> Insert -> Axes -> Check Secondary X-Axis.
4. Right click one of the series -> Format Data Series -> Options.
Actual Results:
After that you have two options -
i. Primary Y Axis
ii. Secondary Y Axis
Expected Results:
Option for Secondary X Axis should be there.
Reproducible: Always
