WinNT dumping core on me when it reboots after the text mode part of the setup. I tried setting up using the 3 boot floppies, using the floppyless install and by copying the i386 directory. I haven't tried a network install yet but by that time I wasn't in the mood and besides I'd gotten my Win95 install stable by then ... for reference my primary partition was FAT16 and the first logical partition (where I was aiming to put NT) was also FAT16. > What can I do to install NT 4? C is Fat32 and I want to make D NTFS. >Any help would be appreciated. OK NT4 definitely won't go on it then (and it may well be the cause of YOUR problem) ... NT4 *needs* to be able to read the primary partition so it *must* be either FAT16 or NTFS. The NT loader (ntldr) won't work on a FAT32 partition (which gets *really* annoying because it means the primary partition can't be bigger than 2 gig). I'm surprised it let you get past the partitioning stage of the NT4 setup ... try switching it to FAT16 (which would probably mean a backup and reformat) ... who knows, it might work for you (in which case tell me how you did it! ;-) - Raymond --- /~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\ | | "Does fuzzy logic tickle?" | | ___ | "My HDD has no reverse.
