Hi, I couldn't tell you how much valuable LilypondTool was for me ; this is definitely the way I would recommend to anyone starting with music typesetting (though I don't like jEdit very much, maybe a standalone lilpond-integrated editor would be much better, like in OSX-lilypond). There's still something I can't get : where is the most up-to-date LilypondTool build ? in jEdit plugin repositories ? At sourceforge.net/projects/lily4jedit ? On a CVS ? At organum.hu ? Or maybe is there no more difference between those versions ? (As far as I can tell, I do not see any 2.10 version on any repository...)
Thank you again for this great job. You're doin fine :) I'm looking forward to trying the new LilypondTool... V.Villenave 2006/11/13, Bertalan Fodor <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
Hi, I've just released a new version of LilyPondTool, supporting LilyPond 2.10. The most important change is that the new, full lilypond parser is quite stable (i.e. no false alarms on the regression test files). So you should turn it on. That means, that you can safely turn on SideKick's "parse on keystroke" and it will show you the syntax errors on the fly, while you are typing! It will find even find errors like: c d e.4 However, there still may be false alarms, so you have an easy way in the LilyPond toolbar to switch the new parser on and off. If you find some file that should be accepted, please send it to me.
