We are working with Cinema 4D XL 6.0.
It may not be as sophisticated as Softimage oder 3D MAX, but depending on
what you're aiming at it might suit you.
Advantages: Very fast rendering, very good network-render-software,
combining Mac and PC platforms, very good price performance relation. The
just released latest version has a lot of very good features that might make
it even more competitive, however editing has become slower with the new
version
