This isn't entirely accurate. V12 is great, but it won't facilitate
communication between Oracle and Director. OpenDBC Xtra provides a Lingo
interface to SQL (which you'll need if you want to talk to Oracle).

Also look into ADOXtra for ODBC connectivity. Don't remember who wrote
it, but you can find info on http://www.mediamacros.com.

You mentioned 'database created in VB' -- if you need Access
connectivity, look at http://www.datagrip.com.
