I can't get rid of the flash that appears, when an editable text member is 
assigned to a sprite, because for some reason, when an editable member is 
displayed, its entire text is initially selected. I use this sequence:

sprite(X).member = member(Y)
member(y).selection = [1, 1]

But there's still a brief flash before the selection is set to [1, 1].

Even taking the sprite off stage and then bringing it back doesn't help: 
when it's brought back there's the same brief flash. (This I don't 
understand at all.)

I use D8, Mac OS and Windows.

Any tips will be appreciated.
