I looked at the list of user groups on the web site. I did not see any located in the south [Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia]. Has anyone ever tried to start a VM/Linux User Group in the south?

You are sitting between CAVMEN (Chicago) and MVMRUG (Columbus, OH). A few years ago I spoke at an IBM-sponsored VM/Linux event in St. Louis. There appeared to be enough people to seed a new user group, but it never got off the ground. (Unfortunately I don't remember details.)
