Hello, I have a question regarding a HID device. I have a Magtek card reader, which conforms to HID standard. Now in order to communicate with this device, is it necessary for me to develop a new driver for this card? Or will the existing HID driver present in Linux 2.4, be sufficient for me to interact with this device? If this is the case, what function and Ioctls should I use to communicate with this device? Can someone please suggest me something in this regd?
