Hi

I've recently bought this camera, and after compiling kernel 2.4.20 with
the pwc sources (http://www.smcc.demon.nl/webcam/) and the pwcx binary
module, I got it to work on xawtv but not gnomemeeting.

Then, the day after, I don't know what I did, but every time I run
xawtv, I get:

This is xawtv-3.82, running on Linux/i686 (2.4.20)
dlopen failed for /usr/lib/libquicktime/lqt_vorbis.so:
libvorbisenc.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or
directory
/dev/video0 [v4l]: no overlay support
v4l-conf had some trouble, trying to continue anyway
ioctl: VIDIOCMCAPTURE(frame=0;height=120;width=160;format=7): Invalid
argument
v4l: timeout (got SIGALRM), hardware/driver problems?
ioctl: VIDIOCSYNC(int=0): Interrupted system call
ioctl: VIDIOCMCAPTURE(frame=0;height=120;width=160;format=5): Invalid
argument
ioctl: VIDIOCMCAPTURE(frame=0;height=120;width=160;format=4): Invalid
argument
ioctl: VIDIOCMCAPTURE(frame=0;height=120;width=160;format=1): Invalid
argument
ioctl: VIDIOCMCAPTURE(frame=0;height=120;width=160;format=13): Invalid
argument

note: the lqt_vorbis error was also displayed when it worked, but the
'Interrupted system call' wasn't. So that seems to be error message.
But, what is wrong? Also why would it not work on gnomemeeting?

thanks a lot in advance

cheers
