Hi,
after some googling, I have found no answer - but wondered if someone
would like to suggest something.
Is it possible to use an automated approach to detect if someone is
throttling
network speeds by dropping packets.
So - there are 2 computers (A & B) which have a 20 hop path between them.
Sure, all packets take the same route.
But, can we measure some characteristic that tells us if packets are being
dropped by some entity between A & B? I am hoping for an automated
approach to measuring this.
Sure, we can measure the actual loss rate between A & B, but can we
determine
if it is someone doing throttling?
Thanks,
Derek.
