Hi folks. ;-)

Bit of an annoyance problem for today…

I’ve got an NEC upd720200 based PCIe USB3 card in my Desktop…

I just upgraded to Debian 8 (From 7) and thought it might magically start
working, but to no avail… It’s still a paperweight.

All of the good gen says firmware update but I can’t find the firmware update
anywhere but a site that has malware issues according to avast and Google.
(www.station-drivers.com <http://www.station-drivers.com/>).

My Google-foo is not strong on this one for some reason. The NEC site itself
doesn’t know about the part number and the Renesas site does not have the
firmware update…

Sooo… Does anyone have a functional firmware update for the upd720200.. Or a
recommendation for an add-in (PCIe or PCI) USB3 card that just works with Linux?

(If you look in the list archives this has been broke for ages, it’s annoying
me again after the distro upgrade, which for the record bricked my machine due
to the number of custom packages and pack ports, so I built it from scratch.
;-) )

Cheers, Chris H.
