Im using the syslog appender from a windows machine to a machine running linux. When my log messages show up, the tabs are converted to ^I, Thats "control, upper-case eye" if your fonts are strange like mine. I was wondering if there was a workaround for this? The syslogd package from these guys (www.trustice.com/java/syslog) doesn't do this.   thanks jake
