Hello,

I got a questions on LTSP.

Now we have little network runnig Linux. We have 1 server (IP3 733, 256Mb, 20Gb) and 5
clients - from IP150 to 486DX2 100. Every client have 64Mb RAM and 1-2Gb HDD.
Unfortunally network is only 10Mbt.

Now all clients runing different versions of Linux - SuSE 6.4, Mandrake 5.2, Mandrake
7.0. Every user have his own home dir on Server.

As administrator of that little network, I would like to make one server with 5
X-terminals from that, but I got some problems:

1. The boss would not like to own fast 100mbt network at this time. But if he will
see, that X-terminals working fine, hi will owh that network.

2. I don't know, how to write ROM's on NIC (3c509, Ne2000 ISA). Do I need some special
machine for that, or it can be done just from Linux?

3. I don't want to boot from diskete (afaik it will make FDD on clients unusable
during the session).

4. Every machine have enought RAM and HDD space - can I use it instead floppy or NIC
ROM to boot PC's? More, maybe I can use those PC's to store some temp data and config
localy or perform localy some easy job, using server only to run hard X applications?

5. Two of that PC's have local printers - will it be possible to use them directly
from clients?

Please help me on that.
