Is there anyone on this list who has a bunch of printers set up on their system, and any moron can pick a printer from a list instead of typing lpr -P printer into a dialog box?
OpenOffice? No problem, I have all the printers set up there with spadmin. The users all want to know why they cant do that in netscape, galeon, abiword, etc. I dont understand why there isnt a utility for that myself. Surely I am not the only one running linux on the desktop where users can print to several printers. I tell you I am at my wits end with this printing problem. I have about 60 ltsp terminals company wide that work great. Printing from my console based foxpro apps is no problem. Printing from openoffice is not a problem. Heck, printing from the other apps is no problem as long as you know the syntax of lpr and the name of the printer you want to print to. BTW i am not using gnome or kde for a window manager , but i have libs for both installed. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
