I have installed LTS4 with the kernel from LTS3 (3.0.12). I am using Suse 9.0. I am getting this message when trying to start the terminal. The terminal is an older Compaq Presario 4112 (uses a P166) and I am using a TLAN 10/100 card. I can get a remote X session fine from another workstation but not on this terminal. It gets to the point where I can see the background on the login screen but then dies. I never see the Greeter. Here is the output of the logs:
