By default in LTSP, all programs do run on the server. The workstation just displays the graphics and accepts keyboard and mouse.

You can run commands like "top" on the server to see where the memory and CPU is being used most. You might need more memory on the server, faster SCSI hard drives. Also, how many workstations are you connecting. Each workstation can use a lot of resources on the server, when running Mozilla and OpenOffice at the same time. If the workstations just want a web browser (no email client), use Firefox instead. Firefox is the Mozilla web browser without the other components (email client, web composer).
